Icicles & Pendants
Workshop will cover the basic manipulation of solid borosilicate glass using an oxygen/propane-powered burner, a comprehensive understanding of safety standards, and equipment functions. We will be making clear glass icicles and some basic colored pendants.
What we will be learning in class:
- Understanding the flame and levels of heat in glass
- Forming a solid blank – Hot and cold seals and how to use them
- Icicle – applicable techniques include stretching, mashing, twisting, forming a bail
- Pendant – basic color application and shaping
March 2, 2025 (11:00am – 4:00pm)
$100 class + $30 material fee payable to instructor at the time of class

About the Artist
Tanner Sweeney of Deep Creek Glass Worx has been working with glass for 10 years. He has taught others who have gone on to successful glass careers of their own in the greater Philadelphia area. Tanner also enjoys collaborating with other artists to create unique art pieces.
