Turn everyday items of clothing into unique, wearable works of art. Using leaves, flowers, and seashells with a color extraction process, you will uncover the colors hidden within the fabric. Participants will go home with an apron and a tote bag (provided by the instructor) and one or two items of clothing you have brought to turn into a piece of art. Great options are t-shirts, scarves, or skirts in a natural fiber (ex. cotton, silk, wool) and dark in color. Students are also encouraged to bring fresh plant or flower clippings with them to use in their work.
