Beginner Stained Glass with Barbara Schultz

In this beginner stained glass class no prior experience is necessary. You will learn how to safely cut, grind, foil and solder your flower to create your own potted plant stake. Students will choose their own glass and a gem or beads for the center focal point. No open toe shoes please.


6″ Peace Sign Suncatcher

Come make a 6″ Peace Sign suncatcher! Learn to make beautiful Stained Glass using the copper foil technique, Tiffany Style!  You will choose your own glass.  You will cut, grind, foil and solder the glass.  Cleaning and sanding of your projects will be done in class, and you will leave this one-day workshop with a completed project in hand.

Stained Glass Flower Garden Stake 

Come make a beautiful Flower “garden stake”.  You will choose a 5 or 6 petal flower pattern.  (several flower petal options will be available).  You will have a choice of 3 foot, 4 foot, or 5 foot stakes.  Students will choose their own glass, and will learn to cut, grind, foil and solder the glass.  Cleaning and sanding will be done in class, and you will leave with a completed project in hand.  The sturdy garden stake can stay in your yard all year round, and the flower can easily be brought inside for the winter.

Mosaic Mirror 

A fun glass workshop for beginners and experienced alike! Come make your very own mosaic glass mirror.  You will receive a 12″ x 10″ prepared plywood board with a 4″ x 6″ beveled mirror attached.  You will design your own mirror frame, cut and nip the art glass of your choosing, and glue the glass pieces in place on the top and sides of your project. Pattern ideas will be available for you to follow, but it is quite a fun and carefree project. This mirror will not come home with you at the end of this workshop, it will be grouted and returned as a completed project you must pick up at a later predetermined time.

Barb Schultz has been working with stained glass for the past 26 years and is a Master Artisan of Stained Glass in the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen.
