Butterflies have captivated us with their mesmerizing beauty throughout history. Their ability to transform from caterpillar to majestic butterfly is a recurring theme portrayed by artists around the world.
After a 40 year highly rewarded role as a filmmaker – Emmys, Oscar Nominations and two Peabody’s, in 2008 Bill Jersey moved from Berkeley California and from my profession filmmaking to the East Coast to pursue his passion – oil painting.

2018 Cash awards recognizing an emerging and professional artist were selected by Juror Stacie Speer Scott. Stacie is an artist and educator whose paintings and collage works are widely shown in Philadelphia and Bucks County galleries and exhibitions. She is the recipient of several major awards, among them are the Thornton Oakley Award for Watercolor and Phillips Mill Awards for Painting. Also known for her energized teaching processes, Scott facilitates programs for various education, healthcare and cultural institutions including the Michener Museum in Doylestown, PA.

Juror Bruce Daniels, Facilities Director and Project Manager at Grounds for Sculpture Park and Museum will be judging entries on strength of image and story. A private tour at Grounds for Sculpture will be awarded to 2 selected entries, announced on April 21st, 2018.
Announcing the first annual juried photography competition for Members of the Tyler Park Center for the Arts – ‘My Favorite Tree.’ Tree lovers are invited to submit an electronic photograph of their Favorite Tree along with a single sentence story stating why it is special to you.
Juror Bruce Daniels, Project Manager for the Seward Johnson Atelier, the Atlantic Foundation and Johnson Art and Education Foundation will be judging entries on strength of image and story.
Winner of this years photo competition: Wooded Path by Elizabeth Randolph. Elizabeth will receive a private tour for 2 at the Grounds For Sculpture.
2nd runner up – Dogwood by Stefanie Miller. Stefanie will receive 2 passes for the Grounds For Sculpture.
