Macramé with Barbara Neale

Macramé with Barbara Neale

Macrame is an ancient art of knots. Macrame knowledge travelled with sailors from port to port as they would make and sell their knotted creations. People were interested in how these knots were made and macrame became several versions of itself in each destination. Macrame art can be simple or elaborate, large or small, it is up to you the creator. It is easier than you think. REALLY!!

Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 10:00 am – 4:00pm
$55 + $25 materials fee payable to the instructor at time of class. Class size is limited to 8 people, Ages 14+

In this 6-hour workshop you will learn several macramé knots that are used for a variety of projects. You will be shown how to do each of the knots which will result in one take home project for you to refer to as you make other macramé projects.

The second take home project will be the infamous OWL. Using all the knots you just learned we will make a 12-inch wall hanging featuring the OWL.

Barbara has been doing Macrame on and off for many years. We are happy that she is joining us to share her knowledge.
