Explore the possibilities of felt-making and learn various techniques to create one of the oldest forms of textile using natural fibers – wool.

Saturday July 28th – Summer Felt 

Morning: Cob Web felting.  Learn how to make light, airy, lace like felt using cob web felting technique..
Using fine Merino wool fibers create unique, one of a kind wrap.

Afternoon: Nuno felt. Learn how to create light and original summer accessory using nuno felting technique.

*Students need to bring old large bath towel, 3 Ft bubble wrap (avail in Home Depot, Lowe’s or Staples

 

Saturday September 29th – Felt Hat 

Learn how to make original felt hat. Principals of felt-making and hat blocking. Harmony of color and shape.
* Students need to bring 2 Ft bubble wrap (avail in Home Depot, Lowe’s or Staples), bath towel and head styrofoam (available in Hobby Lobby, WallMart, or JoAnn Fabrics

Space is limited to 7 Students – Please bring lunch.

 

 

 

 

Saturday October 27th – Felted Decor

In the morning we’ll make a felt collage to bring a unique piece to your wall art. In the afternoon we’ll make a felt vessel.

Nelly Kouzmina is a Fiber Artist and instructor based in Princeton, NJ. She received many awards for her work – Best in the show award,New Hope Arts Festival, Best in Fiber Art – Trenton City Museum,Artist of the Year (2017), Plainsboro, NJ, and many more. She taught and continues teaching beginners to advanced classes and summer camps at West Windsor Art Council, NJ, Artists of Yardley,PA, Lawrenceville and Plainsboro Twps, NJ.
