Bring your ordinary tee’s, sweats, and jeans are we’ll transform them through techniques with airbrush, tie-die, paint and accessories to create art wear you will be proud to call your own. Students should bring 2 100% cotton t-shirts and any jeans/sweats they would want to use the first day.

Willow brachnes are soaked , then loosley woven and twisted together
forming a 3 dimensional piece. Students may chose to add pieces of transparent stretchy material such as colored stocking or fishnet and weave other materials into open areas of the sculpture emphasizing spacial planes while learing about 3D design. Classes will take place outside, weather permitting.

Come join us as we learn about the mysterious animals that inhabit the tropical rainforests.  Combining drawing, painting, and colorful tissue paper, we’ll create such animals as the toucan, scarlet macaw and the poison dart frog for a rainforest collage in the style of childrens author and illustrator Eric Carle.

Ages 7-12 930am-12pm   

Based on family trips to The South of France, we will learn about the culture, traditions and art of this region. We’ll create a 3D painting of a sunflower field and learn the story of the “Santon” while making a clay figurine. We’ll even make lavender soap and learn to play the popular game of Petangue!

Ages 5-9 10am-1230pm

More stuff

We’ll learn to draw a thoroughbred horse, design jockey silks, and paint a Degas inspired horse racing painting. On the last day we’ll celebrate the Kentucky Derby with a mint iced tea party and art opening.

Ages 9-14 10am-1230pm

Students will choose their medium, either oils or acrylic. This will be an open studio session where each person works to develop his style, while further developing their skills at composition, texture, color usage, perspective and use of light and shadow. Appropriate for beginners and also those with experience with the mediums. The student will choose their subject matter and work from Still Life, Photographs or even some Plein Aire painting outside of our studio! Students will bring their own basic set of acrylic or oil paints. May be repeated more than one week.

Ages 12-16 130-4pm

These days we are all concerned with reusing items rather than sending them to the landfill. In this camp we will make some cool crafts while we recycle. We’ll make are a neat lantern using a wine bottle; and a beautiful glass wind chime that can hang in the garden or a sunny window, fire glass in a kiln to use as a pendant or keychain. We’ll have fun creating beautiful art while doing our part for the environment.
