<p>Join in on the fun and experience of the root of where all music sprouted. Students will get a chance to play together in a relaxed setting while understanding the different dynamics of a drum circle (loud vs soft, fast tempo vs slow tempo, variations of patterns, etc). World rhythms will be discussed and demonstrated, such as African and Latin beats, while the children will also have space to create his or her own patterns. Percussive instruments will be provided or bring your own. We will even experiment with making our own instrument. </p>

<p>This is a week program designed for the interested high school student that wants to improve their drawing skills, start or improve their portfolio. With a focus on improving their drawing and developing strong compositions and layouts, along with learning how to use color in a harmonious way, assignments like landscapes, figure drawing, and charcoal portraits are just some of the work they will be doing. Students will also be exposed to valuable admission information and requirements from visiting representatives of several area Art schools and Universities. Students will be notified on what materials they will need on the first day of class.</p>
